Mister Reusch
November 22 - December 15, 2004 Evos Arts welcomes award-winning illustrator Mister Reusch to its
big 3rd-floor gallery for a solo exhibit. This will be Reusch’s
first one-man show since his 200+ image exhibit at Philadelphia’s Space 1026
in 1999, and he’ll be showing dozens of his concert and burlesque
show posters, weird dog portraits, and 50 new 8” x 10”
original drawings and paintings created just for this show. Now a Rhode Island-based freelance illustrator with 20 eyes and teeth
made of candy corn, Mister Reusch was born in 1973 in Haverhill, Massachusetts,
and spent much of his childhood in Halloween costumes. He grew up
on a steady diet of Saturday afternoon "Beach Party" and
"Creature Double-Feature" movies, TV cartoons and comic
books, ghost stories, candy, Metallica and Ozzy, and sneak peeks at
girlie magazines. As a kid, his favorite things to draw were monsters,
dogs, and pretty girls. Not much has changed.
Opening Reception: December 3, 7-10 PM
